A technical guide explaining the camera layouts, lighting consoles, and audio isolation systems configured inside the studio.
1. Multi-Camera Configuration
To broadcast diverse stage talents effectively, the studio uses a multi-camera layout routed directly to a production switcher in the master control room (MCR).
- Pedestal Cameras (Cam 1 & 2): Mounted on hydraulic pedestals in the center stage trench to track close-ups.
- Steady-Cam (Cam 3): Operated manually on stage wings for circular motion shots.
- Jib Crane (Cam 4): Positioned at the back of the studio to capture overhead crane sweeps and wide crowd angles.
2. Soundboards and Frequency Management
Vocal performances are managed using high-end digital mixing consoles (e.g. DiGiCo SD series) running on redundant optical networks. RF coordinators manage wireless microphone frequencies to prevent signal interference with nearby recording stages.
Contestants are equipped with professional wireless transmitters and personalized in-ear monitor (IEM) systems, enabling them to hear backing tracks and clicks clearly over loud stage monitoring speakers.
3. DMX Controller Lighting Grids
Stage lighting relies on a centralized DMX control system. The grid holds moving wash lights, profile spot systems, and LED panels. Every contestant's routine is pre-programmed into the cue console during technical rehearsals, mapping spotlight tracking to stage markers.
